SANCHEZ ROBAYNA- & EXHIBITION COMMISSIONER

"THE MONSTERS OF PARIS"

Antonio Gálvez made the only collection in the world fully based on the so unreverent Martha Kuhn Weber's dolls as the only photographer that has been able to capture and develop the terrific and agonic expression of these dolls.

It became the "Wound of the World", an exhibition that is made up of this key serie in the career of Antonio Galvez. The Wonderful Monstrers of Paris, in which through 40 works it gives a decadent vision of Parisian society. Spooky dolls appear; metaphor for characters who seem to have lost their souls and survive clinging to the memories of a hostile and emaciated past.

A. Gálvez does not look so much for the marvelous or the beauty, but an agitation that tends to underline the dramatic or dark side of visible reality.
